OAASC members, ASC non-members or companies that work with Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Ohio join us for Ohio's only conference dedicated to ambulatory surgery centers. We address ALL the issues important to your center and especially focus on those concerns that impact you as an Ohio ASC professional. There continue to be significant changes in ASC licensure in Ohio. Our conference will address all of those changes and then some.
On September 17 as a part of our pre-conference, we will host a comprehensive pre-conference infection prevention training for ASC IP professional (remember, you need annual training to meet CMS requirement AND NOW ODH REQUIRES OHIO-SPECIFIC ISSUE TRAINING). Every ASC in Ohio (not just Medicare certified centers) must have a dedicated infection prevention staff person who receives ongoing training on Ohio specific issues and provides in-service training to other staff. This IP training will meet that requirement. And if you attend this as a part of the conference there is a discount.
Join your ASC Colleagues from around Ohio for the premier state ASC conference in the Midwest. September 18-19.

Infection Prevention Training for ASCsFull Day Pre-conference Session Sept 17
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. OHIO’S ONLY ASC-SPECIFIC INFECTION PREVENTION TRAINING Comprehensive IP Planning and Intervention Elethia Dean, RN, BSN, MBA, PhD MRSA: A Personal Case Study William Schmelzer, MPA A Primer to the New Certified Ambulatory Infection Prevention (CAIP) Certification There is only one place in Ohio to receive the very best ASC-specific infection prevention training tailored just for you and your Ohio center. As you know ODH is requesting that ASCs have continuing education on Ohio-specific infection prevention. With recent outbreaks of numerous life-threatening infections in other types of health care facilities this year, you can be assured this will again be a high priority for ODH. And as you know the top citation ODH finds are IP related including lack of appropriate controls/plans, oversite, appropriate sterilization practices, annual Ohio-specific IP professional training and in-service training.
Are you sure that you are meeting requirements with a highly effective infection prevention program?
