Seeking an energetic Clinical Director (RNFA) to lead our 3-OR center specializing in Bariatrics, Plastics, Pain and other specialties. This is a high-impact "working director" role with a 75/25 split—giving you the desk time needed for high-level administration while keeping your clinical skills sharp coordinating surgical nursing services within a dynamic healthcare environment. The Clinical Director will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This vital role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and compassionate care. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in surgical nursing and critical care to support the delivery of high-quality services across various departments.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Oversight (75%): Manage daily operations, staffing, and clinical workflows for 3 ORs. Ensure 100% compliance with state and accreditation standards.
Surgical Assisting (25%): Provide expert first-assist support (RNFA) for bariatric, plastic, and pain cases, with a heavy emphasis on laparoscopic techniques.
Quality Leadership: Lead QI/PI initiatives and infection control specific to bariatric and aesthetic patient populations.
Survey Readiness: Maintain "always-ready" status for state licensure and accreditation (AAAHC/MBSAQIP).
Team Development: Mentor a specialized clinical team to deliver elite-level surgical care.
What We’re Looking For
RNFA Credentials: Completion of an accredited RNFA program is required.
Technical Mastery: Proven laparoscopic skills are a must; experience in bariatric and plastic surgery is highly preferred.
Leadership Experience: Previous management experience (Director, Manager, or Charge Nurse) in an ASC or hospital OR.
Education & License: Active RN license in [State]; BSN preferred.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CNOR strongly preferred.
