Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management has an exciting career opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our comprehensive interdisciplinary pain consult team in Northwest, OH.
In collaboration with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team, the NP engages in independent decision making to provide excellence in pain management. The Nurse Practitioner will assess patients, interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses related to pain syndromes, and initiate and manage treatment plans - including recommending and prescribing medications.
In this role, you will be a part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to the continuum of pain management care. Our expanding pain management program includes acute and chronic outpatient pain management services. This role includes a focus on care of patients referred for chronic pain management. Unique aspects of this position include the challenge of caring for acutely ill patients, contributing to the development of new clinical services, and joining a cadre of Advanced Practice Nurses and Physicians committed to excellence in pain management.
Practice Details: Outpatient practice at one of our three locations in Northwest OH. Join a team of experienced Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Physicians specializing in pain management. Fully integrated Electronic Medical Records (AdvancedMD).
Schedule: Monday-Friday, first shift. As program develops, additional opportunities for extended hours may be available.
Required Qualifications: Graduates of an accredited NP program. Current Ohio NP license with prescriptive authority through the Ohio Board of Medical Practice. Eligible or certified through NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Ohio.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior Pain Management practice experience, preferably outpatient or clinic settings in acute or chronic pain. Clinical experience in an academic health system.
