Riverside Outpatient Surgery Center

Riverside Outpatient Surgery Center is a multispecialty outpatient surgery center located in Upper Arlington, Ohio.  The center is accredited by The Joint Commission, and is Medicare licensed.  The center has 6 operating rooms. 

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Manages all aspects of Human Resources, which includes recruitment, selection, training, supervision, development, and retention of all surgery center employees.
  2. Directs and supervises Surgery Center personnel on a daily basis.
  3. In conjunction with the Medical Director, determines clinical goals and effectively manages resources to achieve established benchmarks.
  4. In conjunction with the Medical Director, is responsible for implementing and maintaining a quality improvement process.
  5. Responsible for and manages all facets of accounting, including maintenance of bank accounts, cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, and the preparation of accrual- based financial statements.
  6. Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to achieve best practice benchmarks.
  7. Responsible for compliance with regulatory agency guidelines.
  8. Develops methods and systems to collect statistical data for both business and clinical operations.
  9. Maintains a collegial and professional relationship with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care and a positive work environment.
  10. Responsible for the maintenance of facility based computer systems relevant to operational functions of the Surgery Center.
  11. Ensures security of warehoused information according to regulatory standards.
  12. Manages along with OhioHealth, all third-party payer contracting and/or client managed care representatives.
  13. Fosters an environment that promotes staff growth and development by assessing the needs of the staff and creating and implementing programs to meet those needs.
  14. Ensures physician and staff adherence to Surgery Center policies and procedures.
  15. Serves as a liaison between the Surgery Center, the community, and other local health care providers.
  16. Interprets and implements administrative policies established by the ASC Board of Managers.
  17. Responsible for assuring compliance with legal and regulatory issues i.e. Joint Commission, Medicare and state department of health.
  18. Responsible for all clinical quality data reporting, and serves as the administrator for Quality Net.
  19. Acts as Project Manager for all projects.
  20. Performs other functions and projects as assigned by the Surgery Center Board of Directors and/or OhioHealth.
  21. Collaborates with stakeholders on the development of a strategic plan with the Surgery Center Board of Directors and OhioHealth.
  22. Prepares documents and actively participates in the surgery center board of managers meetings and provides information, guidance and operational summary reports as needed or requested.


Bachelor’s Degree required, MHA, MBA, or MSN preferred.  Minimum of three years’ experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting, with a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
